איזה פלא הוא, המדבר!
כל פריט חומרי מתגמד לעומתו.
אף גורד שחקים לא יצליח לגרום לי להרגיש קטנה כמו נמלה, ובודדה, גם כשאני מוקפת אנשים, כמו שהמדבר מצליח.
כשאתה מתידד איתו, המחסור נעלם.
גם אם אין לך דבר, הוא מציע לך את כל מה שצריך ואף דבר מיותר אחד.
רק רוחב. ועומק.
ושקט…

what a wonderful thing it is, the desert!

every material object is dwarfed by his presence.  
there is no skyscraper that can make me feel as small as an ant,
and as lonely, even if there are a lot of people by me, as the desert does.

when you become his friend, you forget about the shortage.
even when you have nothing, it gives you everything you need, and nothing  unnecessary.

only width. and depth. 
and tranquility.
